chasen and needtobreathe concert

I went to see Chasen and Needtobreathe play last night. They were doing a benefit concert for Mauldin High School's Spirit Week. Safe Harbor, where Sarah works is one of the beneficiaries, so she had to work the show and I tagged along to hang out with Chasen and see the show.

I had the opportunity to photograph Chasen several months ago. They are about to release a new album, and I did all of the photography for the album and tour promo. These guys are wonderful musicians and extremely fun to hang out with, so it was good to see them last night.

I discovered Needtobreathe in the fall when Chasen opened up for them, and I really like their overall sound. Last night's show, however, was not a true representation of their talent. More technical difficulties than I can count occurred during their set, resulting in a 50 minute set. I felt bad for them; they were stuck on stage while random people scrambled around trying to fix vocal mics and figure out why the keys weren't making any sound...it was a train wreck.
